Vegetation Thinning Operation Near Prescott Valley

Crews from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management are conducting a thinning project near Prescott Valley. Six hundred acres of vegetation are being removed southeast of the Stoneridge neighborhood. The purpose of this project is to slow the spread of any potential wildfires. Residents in the Stoneridge community should be alert for heavy equipment along the roads.

The project should be completed sometime in November.
