Another week of lane restrictions on I-17 in Yavapai County. The northbound lane will be reduced to one lane near Coldwater Road from 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. through Wednesday. Coldwater Road itself under the I-17 overpass will also be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Wednesday.
The southbound lanes of I-17 between Sunset Point and Black Canyon City will experience lane restrictions from between 6 and 7 p.m. to 6 and 7 a.m. through Friday to accommodate earthwork and the placement of temporary concrete barriers. Also, the off-ramp on southbound I-17 at Bumble Bee Road will be closed Wednesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for striping work and the placement of concrete barriers.
ADOT reports no roadwork will take place on I-17 over the Labor Day holiday.
Motorists traveling through the area should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment. This is part of the I-17 improvement project, which should be completed next year.
