Many people will be heading out of town to enjoy the Labor Day weekend. But wherever you go in Arizona, get ready to deal with the heat. The daytime highs in Phoenix will be in the mid-100s through the weekend. Even Yavapai County will be hot, with highs over the Labor Day weekend around 90 degrees for the Tri-City area, while temperatures in the Verde Valley will hover around 100 degrees.
Officials with the city of Prescott remind everyone to take precautions when out in the heat. Along with drinking plenty of water, you should also wear loose, light-colored clothing. You should also watch out for signs of dehydration such as dizziness, fatigue, and cramps.
