Work begins Monday on Highway 71 in Congress. ADOT officials say crews will perform pavement work between the communities of Congress and Aguila. As a result, the highway will be reduced to one lane with alternating north and southbound travel. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide workers through the construction zone. Anyone traveling on this stretch of Highway 71 should expect long delays.
This project should be finished by October 16th. No work will take place on Fridays or weekends.
