All the struggles they had in their first two games of the season were pushed to the wayside. In their home opener Friday night, the Bradshaw Mountain football team bowled over Moon Valley 24-0. Mike Sanford threw two touchdown passes to Landon Lund. Trevor Head kicked a 35-yard field goal. Kylin Jackson had a seven-yard touchdown run. Defensively, Casey Bauman had an interception. The Bears are now 1-2 on the season.
After two straight blowout wins, Chino Valley was unable to make it three in a row as they lost to Maryvale 42-14 Friday. Ben Sibole threw two touchdown passes to Kai Holmes. The Cougars’ record now stands at 2-2.
Mayer also suffered a loss Friday night on the gridiron, dropping their contest to El Capitan 66-6. The Wildcats are 0-4 on the season.
