Day-use hours at recreation sites on the Bradshaw Ranger District were reduced earlier this month to reflect the change in seasons and increasingly shorter days. Gates open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. daily through November 30th.
The affected day-use sites include:
In the Granite Basin Recreation Area: Cayuse Equestrian Trailhead, Wekuvde Picnic Area, Granite Lake Boat Launch, Playa Picnic Area, and the Metate Trailhead.
Lynx Lake Recreation Area: Lynx Lake North and South Shores Day Use Areas.
The Thumb Butte Recreation Area: Thumb Butte Day Use Area and the Thumb Butte Group Picnic Area.
On Tuesday, the gate to Spruce Mountain Lookout will close for the winter.
