Another round of open houses for Prescott’s Proposition 478 is on tap for October. The first one is today from 3 to 5 p.m. at Fire Station 75, 315 North Lee Boulevard.
Another October open house is scheduled for the 12th at Fire Station 74, located at 2747 Smoke Tree Lane from 10 a.m. to noon. The final open house is scheduled for October 17th at Prescott Police Headquarters, 222 South Marina Street from 6 to 8 p.m.
If approved by voters, Prop 478 would increase the city sales tax by 0.95 percent to fund public safety services and the construction of new fire stations and a new police evidence facility.
