Last week saw the Prescott badminton team suffer its first loss of the season when they got swept by Chaparral 9-0. The Lady Badgers were back on the court yesterday and took their frustrations over that loss out on Goldwater. It wasn’t much of a contest as Prescott schooled the Lady Bulldogs 9-0.
Only one match went to a third set tiebreaker. In number two singles, Ashlynn Reed won her first set 21-13, dropped the second set 21-18, then took set number three 21-15. Another close match was number six singles, with Liv Norman beating her opponent 21-16 and 21-18. Number one singles was rather one-sided, with Claire Long cruising to the victory by scores of 21-6 and 21-9.
Prescott is now 9-1 on the season. They are home tomorrow to face Agua Fria, then are off until October fifteenth when they host Desert Mountain.
