Local results from the weekend, in soccer, for the guys, Yavapai College got shut out by Arizona Western 3-0. Embry-Riddle sank Benedictine-Mesa 3-1. Elias Ammon made 13 saves. For the ladies, Yavapai lost to Arizona Western 3-0. Embry-Riddle blanked Benedictine-Mesa 3-0. Chino Valley grad Kaitlyn Roskopf notched a goal. Chino Valley took second place at the Chino Cup.
In volleyball, Embry-Riddle lost to Benedictine-Mesa 3-2. Katie Rolle posted 45 assists. Mayer dropped a pair to Ash Fork 3-0 and 3-0.
In cross country, at the Mustang Invitational, the Embry-Riddle men placed third, with Demetris Love, Junior winning it. The Lady Eagles were fourth, with Sophia Noriega coming in seventh. At the Glendale Showcase, for the boys, Prescott was 18th and Chino Valley 32nd. Will Townsend was 54th for the Badgers. For the girls, Chino Valley placed sixth, with Carlee Murphy finishing in 34th place.
