After a rough time last weekend versus Arizona Western, the Yavapai College volleyball team looked for a rebound this past weekend when they went to Henderson to face the College of Southern Nevada. The first two sets of Friday’s match were tightly contested, with the Lady Riders getting the 25-18 and 25-21 wins. It was all YC in the third set as they smoked the Lady Coyotes 25-14 for the 3-0 sweep. “The Banger” Tiona Drumm tallied eight kills. Teodora Bulatovic recorded 14 assists. Chino Valley alum Makaya Moody served six aces.
Yavapai and Southern Nevada were back at it Saturday. The Lady Coyotes put up a good fight, but the Lady Riders came away triumphant again 3-1. Moody had 27 assists. Emily Hogg put up 12 kills and eleven digs. Trinity Pilimai notched ten kills, and Ciara Yearby made 17 digs.
YC is now 7-7 on the season. They don’t play again until October 18th when they host Eastern Arizona.
