A pair of local teams clashed on the gridiron last night. No, it wasn’t Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain. It was Bradshaw and Mayer, in their first-ever meeting for flag football.
It turned out to be a game where the Lady Bears were in complete control, coming away with a 37-0 victory. Kylie Harms had a big night, scoring on a pick-six, kicking a 23-yard field goal, and adding four PATs. Lucy Nache threw three touchdown passes and had a touchdown run. Her scoring targets were Trista Polley, Stephanie Warapius, and Kimora Davis. Nyomi Astorga added an interception.
For Mayer, Teresa Londrie recorded an interception. Bradshaw is now 2-6 on the season, and Mayer is 0-7. The Lady Bears host Mohave tomorrow, and the Lady Cats travel to Tuba City.
