Downtown Prescott will be lit up this holiday season, especially when the 27th Holiday Light Parade & Bonfire Festival returns on Saturday, November thirtieth. Applications for parade entries are now being accepted and must be submitted by Friday, November twentieth. Application fees range from thirty-five to fifty dollars, depending on the type of entry. The light parade begins at 6 p.m. on Cortez Street and features colorfully lit floats with music from school marching bands. The parade ends on the field at Mile High Middle School, where the Bonfire Festival will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
There will be music, visits with Santa, and reindeer games for the kids. Attendees can also get a closer look at the illuminated floats, all parked on the field for viewing.
