Pedestrian Flags Installed at Prescott’s Four-Points Intersection

The City of Prescott hopes to make crossing at the Four-Points intersection safer for pedestrians. Recently, the public works department installed new pedestrian safety flags at the intersection by Yavapai Regional Medical Center. The flags are located at each corner in holders and can be used by pedestrians as they cross the busy intersection to bring more attention to themselves when they are in the street.

This program is a result of coordination between the city and YRMC to improve pedestrian safety at the intersection. In the past, pedestrian warning signs, rumble strips, enhanced LED safety lighting, and bollards have been put in to help pedestrians safely cross the street.
