In their first season in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference, Embry-Riddle’s soccer teams find themselves in the post-season mix. With their 2-0 win over Hope International on Saturday, the women’s squad clinched the regular season G-SAC championship and secured the number one seed in the conference tournament. They will host number four seed Ottawa on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Riddle goes into the match ranked number 15 in the nation with a 13-2-3 record. The Lady Spirit, meanwhile, are 8-7-3. The Lady Eagles won both regular season meetings with Ottawa.
The Embry-Riddle men go into the G-SAC tournament as the number three seed. They travel to California on Saturday to take on number two seed The Master’s University. The Eagles are 7-5-6 on the season, while the Mustangs are 8-8-2. Riddle lost both regular season matches to The Master’s by scores of 1-0 and 3-1.
