Both the Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain volleyball teams get to open the post-season on their home courts tonight. The Lady Badgers, who are the #14 seed, face #19 Rio Rico. Prescott is 12-5 in its power point matches, while Rio Rico is 13-5 in power point matches. The Lady Badgers have won four of their last five matches going into tonight’s state play-in match.
Bradshaw Mountain — the #15 seed — hosts #18 Paradise Honors. Both the Lady Bears and Lady Panthers are 10-7 in their power point matches. Both contests begin at 6 p.m.
Local scoreboard from yesterday, in the Region One playoffs for volleyball, Yavapai College fell to Arizona Western 3-0. The Yavapai College men’s basketball team was defeated by South Plains 116-49. Kevin Rucker, Jr. tallied 15 points.
