Some Yavapai County residents will have their photographs featured in the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s 2025 wildlife calendar.
The department recently announced the winners of its photo contest. David Swanson of Prescott was selected for his photo of a bald eagle. Chino Valley resident Marti Huzarski was also a winner for a photo of a pronghorn, and Jackie Klieger of Sedona got the nod for a photo of a wood duck.
In all, the Game and Fish Department picked 12 winners from the 800 entries they received. There were also 20 honorable mentions that will be featured as well in the department’s calendar. Among them is Mike Krock of Prescott, who snapped a picture of a canyon treefrog.
The calendar will be available for sale sometime this month.
