Local scoreboard from the weekend, in basketball, the Yavapai College men knocked off Eastern Wyoming 61-59, then lost to Salt Lake 98-77. Nadir Myers notched 18 points versus Eastern Wyoming, including the game-winning bucket with two seconds left in regulation. The Yavapai women lost to Glendale 58-48.
The Embry-Riddle wrestling team lost to Western Wyoming 38-13, then topped Snow College 27-21 at Friday’s Mile High Duals. At the Mile High Open on Saturday, the Eagles had six wrestlers place first in their weight classes.
