They were the backbones of their teams, and for that, they were rewarded with all-region honors. For the Grand Canyon Region, the big award went to Bradshaw Mountain’s Ava Lee, who was named the region’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year. She made 274 digs this season.
All-region first team selections were Prescott’s Ruby Jensen and Bradshaw Mountain’s Kalli Smith, Ava Lee, and Mackenzie Proffer. Players named to the all-region second team were Prescott’s Bella Abt, Rey Bennett, and Kate Wright, and Bradshaw’s Sadie Sullivan. Honorable mentions went to Prescott’s Malia Hirasa, Kadence Huddleston, and Jaycee Thompson, and Bradshaw’s Emma Johnson, Eliana Moll, and Mackenzie Strader.
For the 3A West Region, Chino Valley’s Eva Sanchez was named to the second team, while Brookelyn Little, Lilliana Rodriguez, Shaylin Stazenski, and Jayden Vander Molen received honorable mentions.
