One stretch of Highway 89 in Prescott is closed this morning. A water main break has shut down the highway between the Phippen and Willow Lake roundabouts. This has resulted in significant damage to the road. Although the water has been shut off, repairs to the pipe must be made before the road can be repaired. This closure will remain in effect until repairs can be completed.
City of Prescott officials say they do not know when that stretch of Highway 89 will reopen. Until then, motorists are advised to find an alternate route to reach their destination.
