You may have seen a story on Facebook about a serial killer on the loose in Yavapai County. The Prescott Valley Police Department wants to assure everyone that this story is a hoax. PVPD officials say similar stories have appeared on sites across the country and could be accompanied by a mugshot to make the story look more legitimate.
If you see this story, Prescott Valley Police urge you not to share it. Instead, report it to the administrator of the Facebook page where it appears.
