Pat Kuykendall is the newest member of the Yavapai College District Governing Board. County School Superintendent Tim Carter appointed Kuykendall to the board to serve the remainder of Chris Kuknyo’s term, which expires at the end of 2026. Kuknyo relinquished his seat after being elected to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors.
Kuykendall served in the U.S. Army and the Arizona Army National Guard and is a veteran of the First Gulf War. He retired from the military with the rank of First Sergeant. Kuykendall will represent District Four, which includes North Prescott, Chino Valley, Paulden, Ash Fork, and Seligman.
Carter says Kuykendall has indicated he will run for a full six-year term after completing the remainder of Kuknyo’s term.
