The Prescott boys golf team put the bow on their 2024 season with their end-of-the-year event this past weekend at TopGolf Scottsdale. During the event, a slew of individual awards were handed out.
Jonathan Tso was named team MVP. He was the section champion and ranked number one in the state. Tyler Blanchard got the Newcomer of the Year award. The Most Improved Player award went to Zane Gaul. Jackson Carr received the team’s Transformer award. The Ironman award was given to Jake Patterson. Burley Johnson was named the team’s Most Dedicated Player, and Eli Tharp got the Future Coach award.
Thanks to these players, the Badgers won their fourth straight section title and qualified for the state tournament for the sixth straight season. All that success resulted in 45 boys trying out for the team in 2024, the most in program history.
