Three days after wrapping up play in the Damien Classic in California, the Prescott boys’ basketball team started play in another tournament—this time, the Nike Tournament of Champions in the Valley.

First up for the Badgers on Thursday was a team from California. They took on Rolling Hills Prep, who entered the contest with a 12-5 record. Both teams went back and forth the entire game, but Prescott came up short 52-50. Uriah Tenette notched 26 points for the Badgers, and Josiah Peoples tallied 11 points. Prescott also gave up 20 offensive rebounds to the Huskies.

The Badgers are back in action at the Nike Tournament of Champions today. This time, they will play a school from Arizona—Mesa High School. The tournament wraps up tomorrow.
