PHS Goes 2-0, BMHS 0-2 Day One of Lady Badger Winter Classic

They faced not one but two 6A conference teams on day one of the Lady Badger Winter Classic, but the Prescott girls’ basketball team proved they were up for the challenge—and then some.

In their first game of the day, Prescott absolutely owned Mountain Ridge 66-7. The second game was a little more competitive, as only ten points separated the Lady Badgers and Mountain View at halftime. However, Prescott’s defense came on strong in the second half, and the bench posted 31 points as the Lady Badgers secured a 61-32 victory. Individual stats were not available prior to air time.

Bradshaw Mountain was also involved in the Lady Badger Winter Classic on Thursday. They struggled in their first game, falling to Cibola 48-18. The Lady Bears’ second game of the day was more competitive, but they came up short against Marana 41-35. Kenna Martinez recorded a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. She also added four assists and three steals.
