BMHS Boys Soccer Doubled-Up by Saguaro

Defense took center stage in the first half of Monday’s game between the Bradshaw Mountain and Scottsdale Saguaro boys’ soccer teams. Both sides had just one goal apiece before halftime. In the second half, the offense picked up, but more so for the Sabercats as they defeated the Bears 4–2.

Will Smith notched both goals for Bradshaw Mountain, who played their first game since December 16. The loss puts the Bears’ record at 1–2–1.

Next up for Bradshaw Mountain, they hit the road to Glendale tomorrow to face Deer Valley. After that, Grand Canyon Region play begins. First up for the Bears is a trip to Kingman on January 15 to face Lee Williams. And mark your calendars—on February 3, Bradshaw Mountain hosts Prescott in the rivalry game.

In other local soccer news, the Bradshaw Mountain girls were also supposed to play Saguaro last night, but the game was canceled.
