PHS Boys Soccer Blanked by Campo Verde

Their last game was played on December 18, and it was a game where the Prescott boys’ soccer team bested Cactus Shadows 3–1. Despite a few weeks of inaction, the Badgers hoped that success would carry over to the new year as they were in Gilbert Monday to take on Campo Verde.

But Prescott was without two of its key players, as Cole Schumann and Taylor Keppell were unavailable. The Coyotes, meanwhile, according to Badger coach Phil Reid, were loaded and had a deep bench. That showed as Campo Verde got the win 6–0.

The loss drops Prescott’s overall record to 2–6 on the season. The Badgers have three more road games coming up. They are at Salpointe Catholic Friday, then begin Grand Canyon Region play at Mingus on January 15, and wrap up their road swing in Bullhead City versus Mohave on January 17. Prescott finally plays on its home pitch on January 27 versus Flagstaff.
