BMHS Wrestling Wins Tiger Open, CVHS Does Well at Joe City Invite

It was an active weekend for our local high school wrestling teams, with one team in particular having a huge amount of success. Bradshaw Mountain was at Millennium High School for the Tiger Open, and they won the whole thing. Five Bears ended up individual champions. They are Riley Nollet, Logan Dartt, Carlos Villarreal, Jax Harcey, and Trevor Foshee. Blake Quesenberry was runner-up at heavyweight, and Daniel Rivera and Liam Miller finished fourth in their weight classes.

Chino Valley took part in the Joseph City Invitational, with Luis Aviles winning the championship at 106 pounds. Gunner Call took third at 150 pounds and Caden Call was fourth at 175 pounds. As a team, the boys finished sixth. The Chino girls took second place, with Lilliana Rodriguez and Sophia Hudson runners-up in their weight classes, and Remiesha West and Kayla Choate both finishing third in their weight classes.

Prescott competed in the Peoria Tournament of Champions, but had no placers, though Brody Hanna and Cash Kasun went 3-2 for the boys, and Gianna May and Natalie Nyysti went 3-2 for the girls.
