Ben Sibole compiled 20 points for the Cougars, whose bus suffered a flat tire en route to River Valley. Mayer fell to Joseph City 84-26.
In girls basketball, Bradshaw Mountain came up short to Coconino 30-28. Kalli Smith garnered 12 points. Chino Valley topped River Valley 39-35. Mayer lost to Joseph City 83-9. Teresa Londrie netted five points.
In wrestling, the Prescott girls competed at Estrella Foothills, and Gianna May went 3-1.
