The Dewey-Humboldt town government is officially putting out the call for a new town manager. A listing for the job has been posted on the town’s website. The requirements for town manager include a bachelor’s degree in public administration or business management and at least five years of experience in local government or a similar organization. The new town manager must reside within a 25-mile radius of town limits within 18 months of their appointment.
Preferred qualifications include 10 years of managerial and administrative experience in a municipal government, county, school district, or an elected governing body, including 5 years in senior management, and a master’s degree in public administration. The minimum salary for this position is $100,000, depending on experience. The town council recently reinstated Dan Field as town manager on a temporary basis until a permanent town manager is hired.
