PHS Boys Soccer Mauls Mingus

After being shut out in their last two games by a combined score of 14-0, the Prescott boys soccer team was in need of a rebound and hoped to get it in Cottonwood. The Badgers were there Wednesday for their first Grand Canyon Region matchup versus Mingus. This time, Prescott was on the right end of a one-sided game as their defense played lights out while their offense went off. The result was a convincing 7-0 victory for the Badgers.

Stone Booth led the offensive outburst for Prescott with a hat trick. Casey DeVito recorded two goals. Rounding out the scoring for the Badgers were Nick Poynor and Cole Schumann, each with one goal.

The win puts Prescott’s record at 3-4 in their power point games. The Badgers are on the road again tomorrow. They head to Bullhead City to take on Mohave in what will be their fifth away game in a row. Prescott finally returns home on January 27th versus Flagstaff.
