He has been the Yavapai College men’s basketball team’s most explosive scorer, and that earned him one heck of an honor. Nadir Myers was named the ACCAC Player of the Week. In a four-game stretch last week, Myers compiled 100 points. In two games, he posted 30 or more points: January 8th versus Cochise with 30 points, and January 11th versus Community Christian with 32 points. That actually tied his season high, which he set back on December 11th versus the College of Southern Nevada.
So far this season, Myers has scored in double digits in 14 of his 19 games with the Roughriders. He currently sits at number eight in the ACCAC in scoring with 17.7 points per game. He is also third in three-pointers made with 57. Myers, a native of Philadelphia, is in his sophomore year at Yavapai College.
