Monday’s game with Flagstaff was canceled due to expected bad weather. But on Wednesday, the Prescott boys soccer team was back in action—following a 12-day hiatus from competition—to take on Coconino.
The long break between games might have shown, as coach Phil Reid admitted the Badgers were a little off in their play, missing quite a few of their shots on goal. But one of them did get in off the foot of Casey DeVito. Prescott’s defense managed to stymie the Panthers all night long to secure a 1-0 victory.
That’s the Badgers’ third win in a row, giving them a 3-0 record in Grand Canyon Region play. Prescott is back on its home turf at Bill Shepard Field tomorrow for the rescheduled game versus Flagstaff. Then on Saturday, the Badgers have a home match against Lee Williams.
