In response to numerous community concerns about speeding and dangerous driving on Glassford Hill Road, the Prescott Valley Police Department conducted a week-long traffic enforcement operation from January 19th to the 25th.
During that time, officers stopped 136 vehicles and issued 99 speeding citations. Eight drivers were arrested for serious traffic violations, including excessive speed and reckless driving.
The highest recorded speeds were 77 MPH in a 35 MPH school zone and 81 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.
