The drought keeps getting worse in Yavapai County.
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, three-quarters of the county is in extreme drought. The northwestern part of the county is in severe drought.
As for the rest of the state, nearly three-quarters of Arizona is in extreme drought or severe drought.
Despite the current drought conditions, the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is moderate. Still, everyone is urged to be careful with anything that can produce a flame or a spark to prevent a wildfire from breaking out.
