Nearly 100 Traffic Citations Handed Out During HWY 93 Enforcement Operation

Officers from the Prescott and Prescott Valley Police Departments went way out of their usual jurisdictions to try and keep motorists safe. They joined forces with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office last Wednesday for a speed enforcement detail on Highway 93 between Wickenburg and the Bagdad turnoff.

During the day, 97 vehicles were pulled over and 95 citations issued. These included four criminal speeding citations for drivers traveling in excess of 85 miles per hour.

The operation, which is meant to reduce the number of fatal accidents on Highway 93, was funded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
