Now this is the way to start the season. The Bradshaw Mountain girls tennis team kicked off the 2025 season yesterday on their home court, and they truly had home court advantage. The Lady Bears trounced Mesquite 9-0. Only one singles match went to a third set tiebreaker. Penelope Lira defeated Ava Christensen 6-4, 4-6, and 10-6. Lucy Keyes, Bradshaw’s number one, and Sasha Messerly, Bradshaw’s number six, dominated their matches with 6-1, 6-1 victories.
It was the opposite story for the Bradshaw Mountain boys tennis team. They were at Mesquite yesterday and lost 8-1. The Bears’ lone victory came from Nathan Kleinman at number one singles, who won his match 7-6, 2-6, and 10-5.
Next up for Bradshaw, they take on Cactus Tuesday. The boys are home and the girls are in Glendale.
