PHS Softball Drops Season Opener to Mohave

In the first inning of their first game of the 2025 season, the Prescott softball team got up on Mohave 1-0. Unfortunately for the Lady Badgers, that wound up being the only run they would score on the day. The Lady Thunderbirds went on a rampage after that and run-ruled the Lady Badgers, with a final score from Monday of 11-1. Gracie Pereira went 2-for-2 with an RBI. In the circle, she struck out seven. Mariah Smolnicker tripled and scored a run. In all, the Lady Badgers rapped out six hits.

Prescott is off until March 13th when they have their home opener versus Westview. On the 14th, they head to Deer Valley before taking part in the Epic Tourney’s Softball Classic on March 20th and 21st.

This is a very young Lady Badger team, with ten freshmen and sophomores on the roster.
