He followed the directions on his cell phone… and got stuck on a dirt road. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office reports earlier this week, the driver of an 18-wheel semi-truck followed the cell phone navigation to Senator Highway and wound up on a narrow dirt road.
Deputies and YCSO volunteers responded to the scene and helped the driver get on a more suitable road.
Sheriff’s Office officials want to remind truck drivers that not all roads are meant for 18-wheelers, and that you should check road and weather conditions before you set out.
