The Embry-Riddle track team put in some pretty good performances in San Diego Saturday, where they competed in the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational. The best finishes on the day came from the women’s side. Zoe Tizard placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:19.28. Mia Kemp came in third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:11.86.
Other top ten finishes for the Lady Eagles were Tiffany Terry, who was sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:52.36, and Fionnula Carew, who placed tenth in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 12:38.67.
On the men’s side, several athletes ran personal bests, including Nick Logan in both the 800-meter run and 1,500-meter run. Jacob Ortiz also ran the 1,500-meter run in under four minutes.
Embry-Riddle returns to action March 28th at the Mangrum Invitational in San Marcos, California.
