PV Embarks on Water Conservation Project

The Town of Prescott Valley is taking positive steps in order to conserve water. Rainwater harvesting for aquifer recharge systems are planned to be installed at the town library, police department, and the town-owned Wheelhouse Sports Complex and Community Center.

A local firm, Civiltec, Inc., has been chosen by the Town Council to conduct the project engineering, anticipated to be complete by June of this year. Civiltec, Inc. has previously engineered the harvesting of rainwater for aquifer recharge systems locally, including for the Town of Chino Valley Public Library, Territorial Elementary School in Chino Valley, and the Yavapai County Adult Probation Center in Dewey-Humboldt.

Once engineering is complete, the town will choose a contractor to install the recharge systems. The project is planned to begin in the fall of 2025 and be completed by the summer of 2026.
