Local scoreboard from the weekend, in baseball, Bradshaw Mountain lost to ALA Queen Creek 12-5. Isaiah Avila went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Chino Valley went 2-1 at the Sand Devil Invitational. Freddie Garcia had three RBIs in the Cougars’ 21-1 rout of Monument Valley.
Softball, Yavapai College took three of four from Southern Nevada. Prescott went 2-2 at the Epic Tourneys Invitational. Gracie Pereira fanned 26 in 15 innings. Bradshaw Mountain got shut out by ALA Queen Creek 1-0.
On the alumni front, the Pima College men’s basketball team lost to Parkland 95-74 in the Final Four of the Division II JUCO National Tournament. Bradshaw Mountain product Mason Hunt recorded ten points and six rebounds.
