PHS & BMHS TF Athletes Post Top Ten Finishes at Chandler Rotary Invite

It was a record-setting weekend for the Prescott track and field team at the Chandler Rotary Invitational. Violet Williams finished third in the girls’ 400-meter run. Her time of 55.82 seconds was a new school record. Williams was not the only one to set a new record for Prescott. Kenzie Blanchard posted a time of 45.55 seconds in the girls’ 300-meter hurdles. Along with a new school record, it was also good enough for a tenth-place finish.

On the boys’ side, Luke Mason chucked his javelin 179 feet, three inches for a new Badger record. It was also good enough for seventh place at the invitational.

Bradshaw Mountain also had some good performances at Chandler. Kayden Espinosa came in third in the boys’ 110-meter hurdles. Trevor Head was fourth in the boys’ 3,200-meter run. Victoria Holliday placed eighth in the girls’ javelin, and Abigale Stapley was ninth in the girls’ high jump.
