A 49-year-old Chino Valley man has been found guilty of seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor by a Yavapai County jury. County Attorney Dennis McGrane said Kurt Aaron Colin was found guilty on March 26thin Yavapai Superior Court.
The investigation into Colin’s activities began in February 2024 when a Homeland Security Investigations agent discovered that known child pornography had been downloaded in Chino Valley.
An investigation by the Chino Valley Police Department and Homeland Security led to the execution of a search warrant at Colin’s residence. Officers found a large amount of child pornography, including images of children who appeared to be under six years old and children being sexually assaulted.
Sentencing is set for may 5th before the Judge Krista Carman. Colin is facing a minimum of 70 years in state prison.
