Their last five games, they won by blowouts. But a lopsided game would not be in the cards for the Prescott baseball team on Monday. This time, they took on Bradshaw Mountain in a dogfight. The Badgers got out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, then the Bears cut that advantage in half in the bottom of the frame. Prescott was up 3-2 after three innings when Bradshaw notched three runs in the bottom of the fourth to go up 5-3. The Badgers came back in the seventh with a run, but the Bears cut short their rally to get the 5-4 victory.
Garison Jones had a triple and an RBI for Bradshaw Mountain. Ty Young had a solo home run.
For Prescott, Lucas Tobin and Ivan Schuster both had a double and an RBI. Colton Champion also drove in a run.
Jeremy Reynolds was the winning pitcher. Both sides recorded five hits and two errors.
Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain meet again tomorrow at Prescott High School.
