With elections around the corner for Prescott, city officials want to remind residents where they can and cannot put up campaign signs or other election materials. Signs can be placed in city rights of way, except in those areas the city has designated as sign-free zones.
In addition, election-related materials, such as buttons or pins, are not to be worn in city council chambers or other city-owned property. Likewise, vehicles with campaign-related bumper stickers should not be parked in the City Hall parking lot.
Campaign signs can be put up 60 days prior to the August 5th primary election and must be taken down 15 days afterward unless the candidate is moving on to the general election.
