Prescott Candidates Turning in Petitions

Candidates for Prescott mayor and city council are starting to turn in their nominating petitions. Councilman Brandon Montoya filed his petitions Tuesday to run for mayor. Council candidate Robert Garing also turned in his petitions.

Candidates who have yet to turn in their petitions to the city clerk’s office are Councilwoman Cathey Rusing, who is running for mayor, and council candidates Mary Frederickson, Greg Lazzell, Henry Ebarb the Second, Jay Rudy, and Mike Kabbel. They have until next Monday to hand in their petitions.

Prescott’s primary election is April 7th. Along with the mayor’s position, three city council seats are up for grabs.
