Prescott PD Releases Results of Speed Enforcement Detail

Thanks to grant funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Prescott Police Department, in collaboration with the Prescott Valley Police Department, Chino Valley Police Department, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety, conducted a targeted speed and aggressive driving enforcement detail within the city of Prescott on Wednesday, March 26th.

This coordinated effort focused on high-traffic areas, including Willow Creek Road, Iron Springs Road, Williamson Valley Road, and Pioneer Parkway, resulting in 114 traffic stops.

During the operation, officers issued 72 citations for speeding violations, including one driver recorded at 73 mph in a 45-mph zone. Additionally, one motorist was arrested for DUI, and 44 other citations and warnings were issued for various infractions, such as failure to stop at red lights.
