It’s one of the most unique mascots in college sports… the Eutectics. That’s what the teams at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis call themselves… and that’s where Maxwell McVickers of the Prescott boys volleyball team will play next season.
He tells The News:
McVickers, who did not start playing volleyball until high school, was an All-Skyline Region first-team selection last year, and led the 4A Conference in blocks.
As for his new school’s mascot, eutectic is the process by which two solids are combined to form a liquid.
Currently, the Health Sciences and Pharmacy men’s volleyball team, which competes in the NAIA, is 11-16.
