YC Hires New Men’s Soccer Coach

A native of Georgia is the new head coach for the Yavapai College men’s soccer team… that’s Georgia the country, not the state. Giorgi Manzula was named the new bench boss for the Roughriders. He previously coached at Monroe College in New York for four years, winning a region championship with the Mustangs.

Most recently, Manzula served as head coach and technical director for OJB FC, a Prescott-based youth soccer and men’s semi-pro club. He also had a diverse playing career, putting in time with Monroe College and Central Connecticut State before moving on to the professional and semi-pro ranks in the U.S., Brazil, Poland, and his native Georgia.

Manzula becomes the fourth head coach for Yavapai College in the program’s history. He takes over for Chris Houser, who resigned late last year.
