To honor veterans, fallen service members, and active-duty or reserve military with connections to Prescott Valley, town officials announced a new Hometown Heroes initiative.
Tribute banners will be displayed this summer on streetlight poles around the Prescott Valley Civic Center to serve as a visible reminder of the deep respect and enduring gratitude the town holds for their service. They are also an acknowledgement of the incredible resilience of military families who stand strong alongside their loved ones.
Applications are now being accepted for these banners. To be part of this special program, honorees must currently or formerly have lived or worked in Prescott Valley. Each banner will display the service member’s name, rank, branch of service, combat theater (optional), and photo if provided.
If you or someone you know is eligible and you’d like to see their service honored, submit an online application as soon as possible or call 928-759-3123 for assistance.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. Go online to prescottvalley-az.gov/hometownheroes to apply. There is no cost to honorees or applicants.
This is the community’s way of saying thank you. The Hometown Heroes Banner Program is being made possible through private donations.
